Why We Observe Before We Enroll.
At Spell Well Montessori, we recognize that every child has a unique developmental timeline. Our observation phase, a critical step in the enrollment process for older toddlers and elementary students, is not a typical entrance exam.
Instead, it is a respectful time set aside to quietly observe how your child interacts with the specific Montessori materials, their potential peers, and the prepared environment.
Finding the Perfect Fit for Your Child to Flourish
During this observation, a trained Montessori guide (teacher) isn't just assessing academic readiness. They are observing for signs of social curiosity, emotional regulation, physical coordination, and the emerging ability to concentrate on self-selected work.
This helps us ensure that our mixed-age classrooms are a harmonious match for your child’s current needs and that they will be able to truly thrive in an atmosphere of independence and discovery. It's about finding the perfect fit for your child to flourish.
